Slightly tanned skin, and is somewhat tall, but seems a little short compared to other guys in the series so it's hard to say. He can probably be about 5'8". He's obviously fit, although still skinny.
He has short brown hair - wild it seems, and brown eyes. When it comes to clothes, he likes green, but can wear almost anything. Fortunately, he has a good taste in clothes. He is usually shown wearing a unique pair of goggles that is placed either on his eyes, forehead, or hung around his neck.
Personality: Loyal, honest, and protective. Though, he can be a little scary at times with how determined he can get, and he can focus on something so hard that he forgets about everything else. He’s a bit naive it seems, often when it comes to love and relationships, but he knows enough to make his way. He loves books and artifacts since he's an archeologist, so he can easily be distracted by that stuff. He also seems to be a good strategist, and perceptive of almost anything, but when someone hits a weakness of his he tries his best to hide, he can either become angry or insecure - depends on the situation.
He also seems to be kinda like Indiana Jones. Huzzah!
Abilities/Strengths: He's strong, no doubt. He's better at offense then defense, and when in combat, he can fight with either a sword or by kicking. He kicks because he's blind in the right eye, so his depth perception is less than average, so kicking makes his chances of missing less. In fact, it's stated he's the third-strongest fighter in the series. He's also fiercely loyal and tries his best not to get in anyone's way, making him an excellent person to ask for favors.
Weaknesses: Sakura, who he's in love with. He's also blind in the right eye, giving him a weaker depth perception. His emotional weaknesses, he tries his best to hide, but once someone hits at them he can have either an angry or insecure reaction.

Syaoran was a small boy with magic ability that was captured by a "mad scientist" named Fei Wong Reed. Fei Wong's intention was to create a clone of Syaoran to travel to the Kingdom of Clow , the world of Princess Sakura, who held the power of Tsubasa - the power Fei Wong wanted. He would use the clone to steal that power and bring it back to him.
So, the clone was created. However, the original Syaoran did not exactly approve. To stop this plan from happening, he gave half of his heart to the clone and also put a seal on his right eye, which gave the clone Syaoran emotions. Fei Wong didn't exactly care, and thought that it was okay for him to have feelings just as long as he carried out his mission.
However, once sent to his destination, he met Fujitaka, an archeologist that had recently come to Clow to ask to dig a site there. He found the clone Syaoran in the streets, and decided to adopt him. Ever since, him and Fujitaka traveled everywhere, giving Syaoran experience.
They settled down in Clow finally for Fujitaka to start work at the new site - discovered Ruins not far from the kingdom. They left to the castle to be welcomed to the Royal Family - where Syaoran met Sakura.
It was a liking at first sight, and they both became fast and best friends. Sakura would usually come to visit them, and in return, Syaoran would usually go to the castle to play. Sakura also gave him advice on how to make his father happy (as Syaoran wanted to, for all the the things Fujitaka did for him), and just made his life happier. However, his father died in a tragic accident at the Ruins. Sakura offered to let Syaoran live in the castle, but he kindly refused and stayed at his home. As the years went by, Syaoran fell in love with Sakura.
In honor of his father and his own interests, he continued research at the very same Ruins that took his father's life. One day, Syaoran came to a mysterious room that had been recently dug out underneath the ruins that had a symbol of wings on the floor. Sakura came down into the ruins for some lunch with him, but once she saw the design, she lost consciousness and wings appeared on her back as the ruins started to fall apart. Syaoran saved her from being absorbed into the wings, but to his horror, she started to go cold. He made it out of the castle, only to be teleported to another world with the lifeless Sakura by the Royal Priest Yukito, to the "Dimension Witch" - Yuko.
It was there that he met his new companions, who all came at the same time - Fai D. Flowright and Kurogane. Yuko stated that if he wanted Sakura to live, he must find her memories - the Tsubasa. Tsubasa is a power that can "change the world," and if he did nothing, Sakura would die. The only price Yuko asked for is that even if Sakura gained all of her memories, she will still never remember Syaoran. Syaoran accepted those terms, while Fai and Kurogane paid their price, and they were sent off with a teleportation creature named Mokona Modoki.
It was proven with the first world they landed to, when Syaoran accomplished his task of finding the feather in that world and gave it to Sakura to wake up, Sakura didn't remember who he was. This obviously left Syaoran broken, but introduced himself with a fake smile as if they never met before.
Ever since then, without even knowing he's a clone, he's slowly been regaining Sakura's feathers. But, in one tragic moment, while trying to get a feather - thanks to his blind right eye, he was stabbed and left for dead with no one around - thus being thrown into Template.
