HATE

I'm in a foul mood today, for no particular reason. I mean, sure I didn't get some stuff done I wanted to this weekend, despite the extra day. And, sure, it's a busy time at work for me, which always makes me want to....run away and hide under the covers, especially since I KNOW how much busier it's going to get. And, yes, the weather forecast ( Read more... )

I can relate to some of this. The not caring for myself and then seeing myself as unkempt (well, duh, right?) but I KNOW what you mean. Totally. The weather definitely affects me.

I don't know about you, but I have found that migraine is a big part of it for me and I find that certain supplements help my overall mood. The B vitamins in particular. I take Omega 3 twice a day, a multi vitamin (Centrum), a Vitamin B (6 and 12 especially) and sometimes, like now, an EmergenC pack a day.

I know you KNOW what needs to be done, because I know, too. It's the DOING, innit. Dangitall. Eat better, meditate, do small stretches and yoga moves if you can't get yourself to TRULY exercise. MOVE! Dance while you make supper, put on upbeat music at work. These things help, at least.

You're in my thoughts, hon.

Thanks for all of this! I've actually been thinking about supplements. I haven't been very good about taking them in the past, but I know it's more important as I get older. I've just been reading that the recommendation for Vitamin D3 will soon be raised to 1000 (units? I can't remember the unit of measurement), but I should start taking vitamin B supplements. I take a multivitamin plus daily Vitamin C and Flaxseed Oil gel tabs -- the latter two were in preparation for the eye surgery and I've just continued taking them.

I'm actually doing PRETTY well with the exercise. I'm not up to an hour a day consistently, but I'm getting there. Eating better, too. I just need to be aware that I'm just not going to feel like myself during this time of the year and gut up and get through it.
