[Alexis has been keeping her head down as of late, simply going about life as best she can here. School every day. Shopping every other day. Sometimes a walk around town here and again. Well, okay. It was a really small one. A pebble, really. But I picked it up. It was just a split second and it startled me so much that I lost concentration and dropped it, but... I picked it up!

[Alexis looks up, startled. She hadn't realized anyone was around; honestly, she had been somewhat distracted. She waves a hand as she recovers, though, and offers her visitor a smile.]

No, no. Nothing's wrong. I was just a little surprised by something, that's all.

[She gets up, dusting off the legs of her jeans, and holds out a hand toward the girl.] I'm Alexis.
