Screw resolutions. I do goals.

My goals for 2010:

Lose fifty lbs. This is going to be the most difficult, but it's the one that's got to happen this year. No more yo-yo-ing, no more falling off the wagon. I have to do this for myself. For my future with my boyfriend. For my parents and friends and future family. I can't keep going on like this. Fifty lbs isn't all I need ( Read more... )

I think you shouldn't even write it down - just do it. Honestly, get up, start walking and don't think too much about it. That will start you off with the weight loss. When you get back from walking, start cleaning. The thing is we write to procrastinate. I know this from experience as I am doing it right now! :)

Rich and I have started working out at night. We're working our way up to more intensive workouts, but for right now we're doing the treadmill/riding the stationary bike for 15 minutes at a time. Saturday we're going to bundle up and go walking at the park. Also this week I've been focusing on one room of my house: my living room. By Saturday I hope to have it mostly the way I want it with nothing extra on the tables and everything dusted/vacuumed. Everything else is done. Next week I plan on focusing on the kitchen. After I finish a week of deep-cleaning for each room of my house, I should (hopefully!) be able to maintain the cleanliness.

And you know me so well... I am such a procrastinator! I always put off the stuff I hate to do the most...
