Super small! Seriously - this is the smallest place I've ever had, and it's HUGE by NYC 1-bedroom standards. I don't understand how people live in studio apartments! But if you guys come visit, I can sleep just fine on my papasan and you guys can have the bedroom. :)

it looks tiny, but cozy!

It's about 450 sqft. If I were sharing it with Ian, I think we'd both lose our minds. But for just me, it'll do. And it's substantially bigger than the 10x10 hole in the wall that was the first place my broker showed me :)

Of course I still have my quilt. I also still have the red and blue painting/sculpture, but I haven't figured out where to hang it. And Catherine had better still be ticking - she's only 12!

Looks cool! I'm looking at small apartments in downtown Cincinnati and balking at the rent prices. I canna image how many times more a comparable apartment in NYC would cost. I seriously need to get rid of some books and CDs.

My apartment is $1200/month, which is twice as much as the mortgage on my 3BR, 1 bath house in Pittsburgh. It pains me.

That's some serious crazy money. A comparable sized apartment in downtown Cincinnati that I recently looked at was 1/3rd less. On the other hand, you are in NYC, so that's a win. Maybe?

At $1200/m I'd be deciding between electricity and food on a month by month basis.

At my resident's salary, me too.
