Joe and I battened down the hatches earlier today and are watching the weather channel for updates on the Jersey Shore. A lot of Joe's relations live there and the Metropolitan New York area. Irene has just been downgraded to a tropical storm, which while still to be taken seriously, is obviously a bit of a relief. Am bracing for heavy rain & winds this afternoon but fortunately not near the ocean so won't get the worst of flooding. I hope you and Joe and loved ones are all safe. See you on the other side!!
