You aren't the only person who feels that way ... but I'm not gonna lie. I love it. I'd much rather watch a few hours of these folks partying and being loud and obnoxious than more depressing daily news about whose child is missing or who got shot downtown or how many more troops were killed. I see it as an escape from reality. :)

That's the new "celebrity" of today, or like PerezHilton calls them "celebutards". Reason why I mostly watch the Food network. I get to learn something from it.

I've never watched the show, and as of now I have no plans to do so. But I've heard enough about the cast (who will pretty much show up at any event, anywhere) to want to steer clear!

I was somewhat disappointed to learn today that my little sister is a fan, but I'll probably let that one slide. ;)

Never had any desire to check this show out. I'm with you - why are they even on TV in the first place. I really dislike some "reality" shows! I'd much rather watch a good drama or comedy with professional actors. Much more entertaining in my book.

Yeah, I hate pretty much all "reality" shows. I agree with your choice of what you'd rather watch, definitely :)

I don't know of Jersey Shore, but I agree in general about reality stars. WTF.
