Erm... ever hear of superstition? Lee's not supposed to see you in your dress or even see your dress before the day!
*HUGS* I'm sorry that it's not exactly what you wanted. I would love for everything to be perfect for your day. But you know the other superstition, right? If you can get through the things that go wrong with the wedding, you can get through anything. If nothing goes wrong with the wedding, something's going to go wrong with the marriage.
So... look at the bright side - you've got something to go wrong with the wedding, so that means that you'll get through the things that go wrong with life.
Indeed you're right. However, we elected to allow practicality to trump superstition. Barb needed to try on the dress, and I was the only person available.
Practical mindedness has served us well so far. No sense ruining a good streak. : )
oh I'm keeping it all in perspective. However in that moment I needed a solution NOW. Family is out, I could have called the friends that live near me but hey he's around and hell he's seen the picture. He's no under the same jedi mind trick we used for my ring.

Double bah! to superstition. And the lazy dressmakers need to burn for being so flaky.
On that not seeing you in the dress thing: It depends on where you're from if that superstition is even part of the cultural flotsam--the Dutch have a tradition that the bride and groom head off to the church together to get married.
