i suppose not much has happened since my last entry in July..

quit the bank in August and started working for the government again. i like my job, even though I could ramble for an hour about things I would change in our federal disaster relief programs. I work every day except Friday from 2:30 to 11:00pm, so I don't do too much in my free time..

i was obsessed with sudoku puzzles for like a week. but i guess it didn't last for me. i'm pretty sure i checked out that spoon album and didn't think it was so hot, but of course i don't really remember so maybe i'll try it again. Illinois and apologies to the queen mary are both up there for me. i wasn't so amazed by the first animal collective album like everyone else seemed to be, but i haven't heard this newer one yet so i don't know. glad to hear everything is bland and normal, which is always better than total shit.

Animal collective was one of those bands I didn't really want to like. I avoided how hyped up they were, but this record is better than anything they've ever done. Gimme Fiction sounds a lot like Girls Can Tell, which I was a big fan of..not as exciting and new as Kill the Moonlight, but a solid rock record. they have a way of manipulating musical space that sometimes blows my mind.let me know if you're ever in the buffalo area..it would be nice to see you.
