Love, love, love. This was so hilarious, so sweet, and just so fantastic to watch. I ADORE that you actually included hardcoded subtitles so we could follow the story. I love the amount of physical comedy you've shown from the source - it's just so dynamic and incredibly fun to watch. Thank you!
Thank you for the comments! I highly respect your vids and I'm often amazed by them, and it's very much a pleasant surprise to see you enjoyed watching the vid.
Well, I'm not a very good critic of video - too deaf to hear whatever it is that bugs you, and blind enough to not see problems, but I was dancing in my chair during this, and I thought the subtitles were timed beautifully - plenty of time to read them and still see what was going on in the vid.
ohmigoshYAY! This is posted! I didn't even know until bradcpu recced it just now.
I can't tell you just how thrilled I was to see a Hana Kimi vid in the Premieres show! I elbowed everyone in a ten foot radius of me, pointing to the programming guide, going "CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!" I was mostly met with blank stares, but it was clear from the Sunday review that after seeing it, many of them finally understood my intense love of this show. :D
I really applaud your use of subtitles in this. You took something that is 99.9% a drawback in most vids/AMVs and made it work for the casual viewer who doesn't know the source. They actually add another dimension to the vid!
And then it's all Nakatsu-centric too, which I adore!
Thank you so much for making this vid and bringing it to VVC! I'm done fangirling all over you now, I promise!
Wow, you have 'Nakatsu enthusiasm'. {g} The HK scene in your icon almost always cracks me up! :-D I'm glad you enjoyed the vid and thanks for the kind words! I know the subtitles caused a mixed reaction at the convention, but the series is so much fun!
Sorry for the capslock, I just. You. This was perfect! I can't stop grinning, omg my face hurts, the song choice and the timing and you got all the best expressions and just following Nakatsu's internal debate, all of it! I'm pretty sure this is the first vid where I thought leaving in the original subs was exactly the right thing to do.
This is going on my VVC reclist, as I'm pretty sure with the subtitles even those who know nothing about Hana Kimi can follow it.
