Much like modern-day Christmas is celebrated by many who aren’t Christian, the same thing applies to Easter. Yeah, I never understand why people get annoyed when you wish them a happy [insert whatever holiday]. All you're doing is wishing them a happy day really, and whether you're actually celebrating something or not shouldn't matter. Happy Easter Liza, nice to see you on LJ again :)

Yes, I agree with that so much. It's usually something kind to say, some kind of themed "have a nice day". If people want my day to be good, I'll accept it and smile back.

(First off, typing comments with your journal is a mission. The colours don't contrast enough and it's small as hell).

I was raised in a Christian household, my Mom still goes to church. I grew out of it. Personally I think all religion is corrupt. I'll still watch documentaries because I think history is interesting, but I don't think the bible is all factual. Lets be honest that most of it was written way after the fact.

However, with that said yes it is important for people to believe in something that they choose. BUT, you can't believe in something if you aren't up to hearing the devil's advocate side of things.

And like you said, most things are derived from some form of pagan holiday. Modern day Santa Claus was invented by Coca-Cola.
