There's a little cat (whom I've christened 'the splodgy cat' because I lack imagination) who drops by in the mornings for breakfast, he's terribly shy but today (after months of patiently trying to entice him) he came up to me to be stroked. One of my cats I adopted. One day all of a sudden he walked into my house and he was so emaciated I had to take him in.

I came across your journal, was wondering if you'd like to become friends.

Aw well it's good he found a nice home; I used to work at London Zoo, it was far worse then, everyone I knew used to bring me little animals to look after.

Of course it'd be interesting to get to know you; however, at the moment I'm finishing off my PhD, so mine isn't the most thrilling of journals, I apologise in advance.

I've not been talking about it, in case they scream with laughter and reject me when I apply!! I've been thinking about it and decided it sounds like a good plan! I'd have a year between starting, so I'll have to find something to do with myself. I think science is interesting but maybe the career structure is a little unbearable, also I like the idea of working on a larger scale I suppose!!

And I fancy being 'Doctor, Doctor Mog' ;)

Thanks lovely!! Hopefully it will go alright, we'll see!! I figure I have a year to decide, if I get in, and so I can always change my mind. Maybe having a job that pays will be too hard to give up for the student lifestyle all over again!!
