"The smallest feline is a masterpiece"

I often have dreadful nightmares and more so when I'm tense. This morning I was dreaming about vampires and it was all very tense and desperate, until my mind clearly decided to offer me some respite and lo! suddenly there were five little kittens pracing around the place, which I then spent the rest of the dream cooing over until I woke up ( Read more... )

One of my friends told me that if you need to wake up you have to try to look at your hands in your dream - and this will wake you up.
When i dream I am never aware that I am asleep, so I can't imagine making a decision in my dream to look at my hands. But my friend said one time he managed to wake up from a horrible nightmare by looking at his hands in his dream.

How interesting!!! Sometimes when they get too scary I become aware that I must be dreaming, sort of like 'wait, wait, wait - this can't be right! Why would I be here why would there be so many monsters? Oh...' and then I wake up but I will try and see if I can remember the hands thing. Although I seldom realise I am dreaming and so get stuck with the nightmare instead.

:D Indeed 'tis now if only I could get the hang of mastering the dream from that point on and lucid dream something exciting, then my sleeping life would be most excellent.

If you could train people to do that, you'd be the most amazing person ever!

It'd be amazing, wouldn't it? The only times I've ever managed to recognise it was a nightmare and then play with the dream, it doesn't last very long. I assume it must be a very fragile kind sleep, where you are semi awake enough to think - i'm not putting up with this nonsense, no more monsters for me *monsters vanish*, I think I'll fly around my dreamscape *goes flying*, okay enough of that bring on the exciting sex *wakes up* damn, damn! ;)

Awww :)

I understand that, it's like any shock where someone you love worries you, afterwards you end up cross with them for making you panic so!
