I didn't realize this was news re: soft drinks. I also did not realize certain brands were owned by Coke, mind you (like Honest Tea and Sweet Leaf); OTOH it might indicate that we're slowly moving away from soda as the soft drink of choice, which would be nice.

It's true it's not news, I just like the extent to which a good infographic can illuminate the problem. :) I have a weakness for information design.

Pseudovariety. Pseudovariety. Yeah, I like the way it sounds, its intended definition.
Thanks for the link; though I don't see how Kraft, relegated to a tiny cluster in the upper right corner, and Dr. Pepper Snapple group, as #3 bottled drink seller, both get to use the Canada Dry brand name...unless they're both part of the same parent company? I wonder.
