What can you make with basil besides pesto? I have a freezer stuffed with pesto, I seriously don't need any more. But I've also got six basil plants left. Can you freeze it? I'll dry it if I can't think of anything else ...

You can freeze it -- chop it up finely and put in ice cube trays with water.

*nods* I've been freezing my oregano in oil, but doing the same with basil just seems like making more pesto! I assume you then use the cubes wherever you'd use fresh basil like in soups or stews?

Yeah, that. It's not pesto -- there's no oil, garlic, nuts or cheese. Just the basil.

I don't think drying basil will work well. I dry thyme, oregeno, sage, and rosemary. I freeze basil and tarragon.
