It's Raining...Again.

So, I was just about to comment on how much I loved the sound of a downpour, how rain relaxes you to the point of just existing, and how much it inspired my muse when I looked outside my window and saw this:

And this was how my mother's car was fairing:

Yeah...not so good. I called her up and asked if I should move it, thinking that water up to the underbelly of the car was probably not a good idea, and she asked me to move it up the hill to a work parking lot. Long story short, I did, got doused with water as it was pouring, and had to eventually crossed my street. This is where it gets interesting.

The street across from me, going uphill:

And the view from across the street to my flat:

I was wading up to my knees in the water as I precariously crossed the water. Of course, there were still people driving through it.

While others decided against it and turned around. By the time I got back to my place, it looked like this:

And it's climbing steadily. The water is now all over the sidewalk and starting to go down the driveway to my left, just outside my window. How much more awesome can you get?

What, more rain? FANTASTIC.

*sigh*

Oh, and I did shower after all that water. I can't imagine all the crap that was in it, not to mention the back-up from the drains and sewer...ugh. Maybe I should shower again.
