He didn't die. THANK GOODNESS! Try and look on the bright side about the whole another immortal thing, now Jack won't be alone forever. Right! (Rex is the CIA guy right? I've only seen the first episode.)
I never liked Rex so it's more a pain than anything else. Plus, having Jack die at the end of this truly would have brought Torchwood to a nice conclusion (Torchwood, to me, is Jack) and not give us this cliff-hanger of "Plan B" from the Family (ie baddies).
*sigh* RTD...I love you but this was almost too much to swallow. Sort of like DW Series 3.... Fairy!Ten!
Pretty much. I thought it was going well at some points, particularly when Gwen was being a badass and at the very beginning, but it just felt less Torchwood to me. Mostly it got boring when the show was more centered around Rex and the CIA than about Jack and Torchwood. To me, Torchwood IS Jack. IDK. I think RTD dropped the ball on this one and, I hate to say it, but I hope there won't be a Season 5. I think my head!canon will stop Torchwood at CoE (I love the ANGST alright?!).
Thank you! I was wondering if I was being a bad fangirl by being so disappointed in it all, especially the ending, but as least now I know I'm not alone

The series is making less and less sense!
