The Little Things In Life

Apparently LiveJournal does not want me updating. Ever. Disappearing entries, entries that appear out of nowhere, entries that do both, missing comments...now a script error. LJ LET ME FIX YOU! Not that I know more than the basics of database management but I do a great computer-intimidation stare that works on all types of electronics ( Read more... )

Series 6 has a lot of holes but that's actually not one of them. What happens is this ( ... )

Is Series 6 ever clear?

Alright, comedy/sarcasm aside, isn't there still an issue of having two Doctors, or more correctly two Doctors of the same incarnation, inhabiting the same time? You've got 900+ year-old Doctor in the diner and then 1100 year-old Doctor doing...what? Hiding out until he dies again at the Lake? I'm just not clear as to how the 1100+ Doctor can get out of this time loop if he, or his younger self, still needs to go through the events of Series 6. And this FUTURE!, when does this happen? I had the sense that it wasn't that long after the Doctor had died...and wouldn't them knowing he isn't dead screw up all of Series 6?

Never helps that I didn't watch the whole thing either... *looks innocent*

LOL @ "share note sin the ljs." So true.

1100 year old Doctor hops in his TARDIS within the Tesselecta and flies away to go do... whatever. Put Dorium back, make jokes about having sex with River, have sex with River, and so on. Whatever he does at the end of 6x13 after we last see him ( ... )

Ok, that makes sense in a Doctor Who sort-of way. For once. I think I got caught up, in my not-thinking-clearly mind, in how the older Doctor had to spend his time without screwing with the events that had to unfold to make Series 6, and himself, happen. Then the whole wine party with River made no sense without context of when it was, particularly if it were the Ponds after most of the events of Series 6, as they knew the Doctor was still somewhat alive after having so many adventures with him (and also knowing River was their daughter...correct?). Since they know before the events of Lake Silencio in the finale, don't they still mess up by knowing, in some reality, that the Doctor will be just fine and it was really the Tesselecta? OMG, this timey wimey thing is making my head hurt. The more I think about this the more I hate it ( ... )

Epic post!

1. I'm not touching season six. You know I have Moffet issues.

2. Vid Games are fun. I really want to try The Elder Scrolls too. I've heard good things.

3. I've not seen the movie, but yippee for the NCIS marathon. *I have a thing for everyone in the cast except Tony*

Hope all of your other life stuff is good too.

Just a combination of a couple of posts I've been meaning to make and, apparently, I haven't said enough as I keep thinking of things I forgot!

1. I was being dense, I think. It makes sense as far as Series 6 can make sense. I'm still debating on if I want to go back and actually watch the entire season or not.

2. The Elder Scrolls series is one of those franchises that consistently make amazing, open-world RPGs, not to mention the developer, Bethesda, also makes other fantastic games. However, it's hard not to take weeks out of your life just to play them.

3. NCIS is marathoned pretty much every weekend and every Wednesday on USA Network. I just keep it on in the background or watch what appears to be interesting episodes. Problem is they never show them in the correct order. (And I want to like Tony but he's just an ass 99% of the time.)

It's pretty good. Work is still work. *sigh*

I think the way _thirty2flavors explains it is pretty much how I understand it, that is if I could be bothered to try and understand it any more.

I only half watched the finale, while reading through lj entries and repeatedly muttering about Moffat being a prat under my breath, so that gives you an idea of my take on things in general right? lol

Yeah, that's pretty much how I deal with it, I just try to hide it underneath a thing veil of caring/trying to reason with it. I mean, it's Doctor Who and it can't go wrong...right?!

oh I actively try NOT to care, because if I care too much, then what SM's doing to it makes me angry.

I'm hanging in there still though, albeit by a rather thin thread

Curiosity question: if you can remember back to the Classic Who days, were there ever days/eras when you felt like you were holding be a thin thread to see where t went? I know some producers received a bit of ire from the fans, even without the Internet to start flame wars, so I was just curious if you'd felt like this before.

(And thinking to much about Moffat's timey wimey makes my head hurt. That was pretty much every plot point he's ever had.)
