Took an Arrow to the Knee, You See

What does one do with 83 hours in three weeks? Play Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim until you're starting to dream in Daedra artifacts and contemplate the ethics of trapping souls into gems used to power enchanted items. That's what I've been doing for the past three weeks or so since I last updated, along with some utterly shitty real life crappiness that ( Read more... )

Smiley Ten is adorable. It's rather hard not to smile back...at the screen.... Um, anyway. lol

At least I'm not alone in obsessing over this game! Well, I knew that in general terms but I'm glad my flist knows about it. But really, I could have done a lot more than slay a few dragons on those hours. Oh well! *runs back to Skyrim*

Yeah, don't start Skyrim unless you have a lot of free time, and nights, on your hands. I get nights and weekends but there is a long holiday coming up near Christmas for me.... Great for gaming while having to deal with family.

Smiley Ten! :D

I'm glad you're alright. I was starting to worry a bit. Games are great distractions from RL. (Oh and everyone feels that way on payday.)

Sorry to have you worrying about me. *hugs* It was nice to have a distraction like Skyrim though as life got pretty rough for a bit there. At least it's better...although it appears to be hard to post after a hard day's work when this game is so good.

I thought you might have been swallowed by the game, so I didn't bother emailing. I knew you'd find me if you wanted a chat :)

nice to see you posting though, it seems likes ages since you last did

Well, I'll tell you a little secret. Last time we were both on Twitter, I got mad at you for stupid, silly, and completely whiny reasons. Then, me being me, I felt completely guilty for being mad at you for said reasons even if you had no clue. So I was a little scared to come out and say hi, particularly to you. It's stupid and silly but I felt bad anyway. I missed you though. *HUGS*

Probably around the time the game came out and my life boiled down to work, gaming, and sleeping, the last being optional. I hope to be posting again, gaming permitting, because even if rl is boring, I'm completely baffled by this rumor of the new Star Trek reboot movie. How dare they try to reboot Wrath of Khan?! BLASPHEMY!

I know, silly me. :)

There were "substantial rumors" that Abrams wanted to redo Khan as the villain for the next Star Trek movie and that Benicio del Toro might play Khan. del Toro supposedly dropped out but, seeing as I hated the reboot (yes, I'm one of those few fans), the idea of a different Khan and Kirk altogether? Like...how could they reproduce that iconic Khan scream of doom? It's...impossible! Argh.

Now, to watch the X-Files before sleep. Good dream fodder. lol
