Must You, Netflix?

I'm currently quite mad at Netflix. Yeah, they mess up from time to time, and for the most part they correct it by giving you an extra DVD at home, but this anger is a tad amusing ( Read more... )

It's things like that that make behaving legally so obnoxious.

I sometimes wonder why I try to be legal at all, considering how difficult it sometimes can be.

Was the DVD available to be sent to you. Sometimes I don't get the DVD that are at the top of my queue because they were not available. Especially on the more popular series.

I do hope you get your West Wing fix soon we don't want you to go nutty.

Yesterday it was fine in my queue when I rearranged it. I've had Netflix go from "available" to "very long wait" in a single day, making me believe that they don't have enough of this series to go around. Plus, it isn't streaming and that's a major pain in the ass. A little warning may have been nice, like "a wait," so I could have planned accordingly.

I've got at least six episodes coming to me for the weekend, and a PS3 that is working again (somehow), but it'll be out-of-order. I'll figure it out somehow. *shrug*

Yep you are probably right, netflixs didn't account for the amount of users that they have. Good luck on making your weekend fantastic, and if not there are many other weekends.

Nah, Netflix really is a great service. Even if you only get streaming it's worth it. I know that, at least in the States, you can get a ton of new movies out on streaming a couple of months after release, not to mention the huge number of TV shows they have available. It's a purchase I never regret paying each month even if I may grumble about it from time to time. Nothing is perfect, after all.

actually Austin's been having a look at it, and it doesn't look like they offer anything we can't already get from Sky, other than old shows neither of us are interested in

This "Sky" channel you have must be something. I always figured it to be an HBO/Showtime sort of channel you paid a premium for. Or is it more of a "I was before Netflix!" sort of idea?
