okay... let me just change this.... ITS THE LEGAL PATCH FROM BLIZZARD! I know we all own the damn game, but this way we don't have to worry about NOT HAVING CD'S!?!

sigh..... is that so hard to understand? I guess it is. I like not having to put the cd in so I can play my game. I think this is a good idea and should've been done sooner.

But, these replies might be why I don't like posting here... hhmmmmmmmmmm.

upon further inspection this is the newest update to Diablo II version 1.12. battle.net updates your game to this version when you sign on to battle.net and all you have to do is copy all of the .mpq files from your expansion disc into the diablo II directory and then the game works without the cd. and yes it do let you also get into battle.net afterwards as well.

i have tested this and it works just fine single player or online on batte.net.

here is the diablo II patch update history that explains how to get it to work without the cd in further detail: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=21358&rhtml=true

sorry kevin i think we all thought you were giving us a no-cd crack which will not let you use it on battle.net so we all assume incorrectly. i apologize for the misunderstanding.
