There have been some pretty intense action lately. NHL 2006 for PS2 is fantastic. Here are some screen shots for your enjoyment,
So far I'm 3-1. My only loss went to a shoot-out. Not only that, but it was so close that it went down to like the 7th player. It was intense to say the least.
As Vancouver I'm 2-0, with Detroit I'm 1-1. The only reason I didnt use Detroit right off the bat is because it was too expected. Hell, I have the Detroit schedule taped to one of the cabinets in my room, anyone who has ever stepped foot in there would have known that I would pick Detroit. So I played the first two games as Vancouver to warm up since I had never played before. Thats right, never played and I'm schooling the vets. I'm the person to beat so far. Sport games are all the same, but with improved graphics, performance, and more options, but the basic controls are the same.
I've considered buying a PS2 just for the sole purpose of playing this game more and more, because as I sit here my competition could be practicing and getting better and better.
There's a big tournament in the making. Of course I will keep you all up to date on all the action so don't worry.
