I must say, if you're in the desert and all you have is a spatula and a copy of "Waiting to Exhae"... you're missing the one thing you would actually need - the eggs. But if you had those too (which you failed to list under the supply list) than I think it should be fairly easy, in that you would have to get a plant of some sort (of which there are plenty in the desert... cacti and such) and use the bottom of the disc to reflect the light onto the plant to light it on fire... then, put the fire under the disc (digging a small hole would help) and then use that fire to heat the disc up enough to cook the eggs on it. The spatula would then be necessary to seperate said eggs from the disc
