Here is a new snippet from my dystopian WIP. It's not new for me, but it's new for my blog.

Sunday Storytime: "That's your story and you're sticking to it?"

Sunday Storytime: "The candle that burns twice as bright."

This is from Book 4, from the POV of Meliana's younger sister, Rachel.

Sunday Storytime: "He's gonna piss someone off for the last time."

The Lucases (Meliana's family) see Scanlon's name show up on the evening news.

Sunday Storytime: "No actual magic-handlers were among those persecuted."

Sort of like in Harry Potter when the history book says that "witch-burning was completely pointless." 

I seem to have caught the grossness which my Muslim co-workers brought to the office as they both got sick just at the end of Ramadan. (So: thanks, Ramadan! I really appreciate it!) I've been feeling like crap since Friday, though today is a big more "recovery" and less "misery."
