If I told you, I'll have to kill you.

The long table, instead of having cakes and biscuits and pots of tea, had stacks and stacks of papers, folders and manila envelopes, all labeled accordingly. There was a pot of coffee, half-full or half-empty, depends on who you ask. It was likely cold, though, as the three occupants of the table were much too busy to reach for the caffeine. Besides, none of them really needed it, with who and what they really were.
The Mad Hatter was at the head of the table. He had a sheet of paper in his hand, part of a document in front of him, and was going through all the data presented in the report. Why he had to read it on paper, when they lived in such a technologically advanced city was beyond him. But he tolerated this. For now. The Cheshire Cat was to his right, and the Hatter wouldn't have it any other way.. Instead of reading the documents they had, the Cheshire was sorting through them, searching for a file, maybe, or just putting things in order of importance. The Queen of Hearts, meanwhile, sat opposite of the Cheshire, with an untouched mug of coffee nearby. She was the only one who had technology on her, typing away at the virtual keyboard, printing out reports, but mostly relaying messages to her deck of cards.
"Everything is going according to plan," the Queen announced. The Cheshire made a noncommittal sound, and it was the Hatter who smiled. "We are moving to the second phase."
"Very good," the Hatter said, leaning back into his chair. "Call the Duchess."
