Anniversary and moving and stuff.

Yesterday was the two-year mark for me and Mike. We went to The Melting Pot courtesy of a Christmas gift card from my brothers and their families. Quite the experience...very tasty. Mostly I feel happy and lucky that he's mine and I am his. (Love you, baby, with all my heart ( Read more... )

Congrats on the anniversary!

And while still I'm very excited for you, I'm also very sad every time I think about you leaving. I mean, I KNEW you were for some time. But that time has flown by from "in a few months" to, like, tomorrow.

But I guess all this means is that have to be sure to get better at writing effective and entertaining emails =)

Congrats from me too on the 2 years. I think it's a pretty big milestone, since my second year with Ronald was our rockiest. I've heard from others too that it can be a challenge. It's always good to pass markers like that.

Yeah me too! And I'm actually excited at the prospect of starting to write real like antiquity style *letters.* That might be fun. I'm gonna try it when you move, Tracy :) So yeah, make sure you leave your addy.

I hadn't heard that about the two-year mark, but it makes sense to me now that you've said it...We definitely had our hardest conversations this year and had to figure out how to make our lives fit together in a new way. It's been good, but it occurs to me looking back that we have been through a lot.

I'm excited about writing, too. I was going through a bunch of old notes at my parents' house (so they don't snoop while I'm gone) and I thought about how much of our conversation in any given day was just to write to each other. I had to throw most of them out, unfortunately, but it was incredible to see the piles. Anyway, yeah, I am committed to keeping in touch with people while I'm out there.

I chalk the 2 year thing up to the fact that the first year is all honeymoon getting-to-know you stuff, happy smiles and sunshine. Not that there aren't fights, but things in the second year just become more real, I think.

I wanna see some our notes sometime. The "best-of" edition :)

Naila got your dining room set? That is weirdly random.

I know! I just got a response from a "Naila" one day, mentioning moving out to Carmel with her husband, and I thought I'd ask! She is making things very easy on us and is letting us have the table until she's ready to move. Good people, those Mattinglys.

An awesome milestone indeed!

If there is one social thing I do in the next 4 weeks, it will be to hang out before you leave.

After that, I'll be a better pen-pal too. Let me know if there is anything I can do on this end of things to help out (wedding, moving, whatever!) with all of this hectic moving stuff going on.
