Now on to Zenkaikon this weekend. I will be there from Friday night until Sunday. Anime USA will have a table there with lots of flyers (as the rolling bag I have at home can attest to). A) Gelatine is from NYC, not Jersey: http://www.animecons.com/guests/bio.shtml/1504/Gelatine
B) I don't agree that the only reason for our growth is 'we are the only one' as you maintain. I think that even if a con is alone in its area, if it has a bad reputation, poor guests, and bad programming, it isn't going to really grow much.
C)It was not planned that we didn't have any voice actresses, but we wanted to have enough guest department staffers to handle the total number of guests that we had, so we were trying to downsize the total number of guests for this year.

I agree that you have to put together quality to be successful. I understated that, but I think it does help. It also helps that you are affordable (under $130 a night for a room including tax), good food choices a short drive away and quality.
On the Guests point, I was considering helping out. Without a license, I don't think I can. Maybe, next year I can be a guest liaison. If you want me to introduce your Guests Director to some of my liaisons for 2012, I can do so. Some of them are actually on staff for this year in other areas.
