Who's a pretty kitty then? Yes you are, yeees you are.....
I like Herman's pi symbol - that's very cool! And the tigers are beautiful. I've seen them at the zoo before but these ones seem so much more vibrantly coloured.
The cat family has two sub-familes: the purring cats and the roaring cats. The biggest purring cat is the cougar (panther/mountain lion/puma/others are different names for the same animal) and you can easily hear them. Aicha, Pescha, and Sheba always let me scratch the back of their necks so they can purr even louder. Bobcats supposedly purr but I've not ever heard one. They're not as naturally friendly it seems as the cougars so establishing a relationship with them is slower.

If you could feel it in his body then it probably wasn't just chuffing which is their friendly mouth noise used as a (repeatable) friendly greeting. They do make other happy noises, but I haven't heard one that sounds like purring (yet). Felix sounds like Chewbacca, though...
