Disconcerting indeed, but Lightning was no stranger to bizarre landscapes. She wasn't a stranger to their lies, either. Just another Fal'Cie trick, more smoke and mirrors to draw her away from their true purpose. She had been alone in this labyrinth of glyphs and doors for a few minutes at the most, but now the floor shook with the footsteps of something large. She took cover in a doorway, gunblade out and cocked in rifle mode, and glanced briefly around the corner.
There, a machine. Or... not; it was cursing and moving like a human, but its face was metal and its body glowed with some magical power source. There were no obvious areas that could hold a human pilot. A Fal'Cie, then, or something close to one. Not to be trusted.
Her foot slid sideways on the floor as she prepared to run, and hit the door with a dull metallic sound.
The glyphs responded, the door opened with a loud whine, and Lightning's mind filled with a string of curses. If it hadn't known she was there before, it would now.
The slight whine of a unattended door-mechanism responding and the thud of something further down the corridor had Cliffjumper pull his gun (or one of them, anyway) out of subspace, the power dialled up to be capable of injuring another cybertronian as he slowly walked closer to the turn in the corridor.
It hadn't sounded as if there should be anything down here, if that computer was to be trusted (and Cliffjumper wasn't sure he could, or should trust it, but he'd kept the communicator all the same), so what was it?
"Come out, come out... Where I can see ya." Now that he was paying attention, his scanners were picking up on a human-level 8and sized) output of body heat, and also breathing, if he dialled up his audio receptors.
Probably a human then. He didn't put down the gun to his side, though, but kept it raised in his hand. No telling who the human was, or what they thought of this situation. He wasn't getting potentially attacked (or injured, however improbable that was) by a misplaced human, even if Prime would probably

"And then what?" Lightning muttered, just loud enough that it'd be able to hear her. The room beyond the open doorway had potential, but they'd been warned not to stray too far from the main corridors until they were out of the building. She could see herself getting hopelessly lost just to evade one enemy... not really an exciting prospect.
Instead, she stepped out into the corridor, her own rifle lifting and adjusting to the machine's height to remain pointed directly at its 'face'. "What're you supposed to be?"
Something told him she wasn't from Earth as he knew it, as she stepped around the corner, rifle adjusting to his height. He wasn't sure why he thought so, but... something about the clothes, and perhaps the rifle, indicated something not of 'Earth'.
"And then I may decide not to shoot you," Cliffjumper snapped, but didn't lower his gun. Not that that rifle had enough power to do much to him, if he wasn't completely wrong.
"Autobot. Or Cybertronian, if ya want the name of our species." Cliffjumper gave the human a narrow stare, and considered his options. They could, technically, stand here for a good while pointing weapons at each other, but Prime (and, lately, Primus forbid, Megatron would also disapprove would be really disappointed if he actually killed her, so
