So I survived the dentist. But I'm still not happy. Let's just say the consult didn't go well and the dentist wants to do so much to me that it would cost $17,000 plus to do it. But don't let that frighten you. We do have insurance, so luckily we'd only have to pay like $13,000. And then he tells me my bones are bad anyway, so at some point, I ( Read more... )

I know what you're going through. I'm having two teeth removed on the upper right on the 25th which is going to leave only one molar over there. And it's the same on the left side. He just took out a molar on the left when I was in on the 23rd. He said that I'm going to have to have a partial eventually because you need molars to eat/chew. My teeth are horrible. He said it's from the water when I was younger and also bad dentistry on the part of my other dentists.

Dentists are such a rip off. No matter what you do, it's never enough to suit them. In other words...they're gonna do what they wanna do and rape your bank account in the process. You can brush floss rinse scrape whatever 8 times a day and they'll tell you that you've been doing it wrong the whole time.
This is why I take myself and Kiersten for cleanings and nothing else. She may have her wisdom teeth out at some point, but that's gonna be the end of it. If I get a toothache that doesn't go away, then I might consider letting a dentist poke at it. Til then I tell them to leave my teeth alone. And dental insurance is a rip off too. You pay in so much money and find out that it doesn't cover even half of what you need.
