Stephanie Plum

So I tried to read the Stephanie Plum books a few years back, but I couldn't get in to them. I gave them another shot and I seem to love them now. I read the first book in one day and I'm halfway through the second book now. I got the first six books at the library the other day, so when I get close to finishing them, I'll check the library website ( Read more... )

I haven't heard about them before. In broad terms what is it about? Is it vampires again like so many other things these days?

I've been trying to answer this since I got it, let's see if it finally works.

It's actually a series of books about a lingerie buyer from New Jersey that loses her job and ends up working for her cousin as a bounty hunter. Nothing to do with vampires, werewolves, or whatever. Just a normal girl in a normal world. They are quick reads and almost make me want to be a bounty hunter to find people who have skipped after having a bondsman post bail for them. LOL

I love these books. I own them all. Including the "In Between" ones. I'm a total Babe. And if you're only on book 2, you might not know what that means, but you will soon enough. Around book 5.

In my opinion 13 through 16 almost lost me. But 17 came out and I got excited again. And now 18 comes out in November and I can't wait.

I almost forgot. If you enjoy them, you also might want to start the Wicked Series. The first is Wicked Appetite. It takes a character from the "In Between" novels and gives him his own series. I really enjoyed it.

I cheated and read the Wiki page on the series, so I know who you mean even if I haven't met him in the books yet. LOL I'll check them out.

I think I have access to most of them at the library. The only one the library doesn't have is the short story she wrote in an anthology with Mary Higgins Clark and a bunch of other authors. I don't know why I didn't get in to them before, but I'm loving them now.
