It's been a while

I can't believe it's been this long since I was...well...freed. I hear all around town about the festival. It used to be that I'd not get to go. I'd be stuck down in the hole, because my masters wouldn't let me out. Because I was bad. And then I'd have to fight in the special fights. But I don't have to do that any more

Freed from the bad people who owned me and the nightmare of the illegal anima fighting ring... I'm still owned, but my owner is a good person. I get cloths and food and I don't get hit or yelled at.

It is. Very much. I know it won't happen...but sometimes, I'm scared I'll end up back there. I'll end up having to do bad things again.

Hmm, we met during a festival last year, didn't we? It is good that you get to enjoy it as a free person now. At least I won't need to patch you up this time.

We did. When I snuck out. Maybe we can enjoy it together this year too..if you aren't busy with other things.

That would be nice. I should be able to...and you can get inside the noble quarters I believe. You liked playing the games right? I believe they have those for the Spring Fair, if you would like to go to that one.

Oh, but maybe you would want to attend that one with some other friends?

I still don't have many friends. And you're the best and coolest friend I've got. And you're smart and good at games. So we can go and play them together at the Spring Fair. Maybe this year, people won't be as scared of me...or him...or...well... you know.
