Okay, this is going to have to be quick (even though I could probably write for hours right now).

I have friends here from America (YAY!!!!) and we're off to Ireland tomorrow so it's been a pretty busy week. Things quieten down next week so I will comment a lot earlier on next weeks episode. We (my BSG loving American friends and I) watched the ( Read more... )

LOL! I left my own thing about the epi in my own journal, and I know that I was in trauma until I just spent an entire night in LJ and with fanfic and discussing the issues raised by this epi. (^_^) Personally, I can't wait to see how it's resolved, and I want to seriously give her hugs... plenty and plenty of hugs... and lecture the Admiral and pushes him back to her sobered up so he can give her hugs. XD In fact, I wrote something to help ease my tension about the entire thing. I agree with many of the points you raised though. (And Mary, Mary was beyond words in this episode ( ... )

Oops... I meant "visceral reaction"... *winces* I have yet to sleep, and that is my honest excuse! (^_^)""" And all of this is clearly speculation on my part because part of what is amazing about Laura Roslin's character is that she is so complicated that you never quite know what is going on in her head... Well, except for maybe some of the most emotional scenes... This is too long... I'm sorry. :3

There are never enough A/R scenes. There should be a whole A/R episode, really, or a whole series devoted to their evolving relationship haha.

I don't believe that it's botox either lol I mean WTF! it's just great acting. Mary is so great she can LOOK like she has HAHAHA.

LOL Admiral Athiest. I loved that line.

IT WAS A FRAKKING BRILLIANT EPISODE DAMMIT!

Oh and we were meant to get a visual payoff? I do not recall such a thing

The visual 'pay-off' (that was predicted to 'break our hearts') was Laura's hair beginning to fall out. :( I was never sure if the pay-off would necessarily be a positive thing, and indeed it was a devastatingly sad moment.

1. he hints that Kara might be something more, she might even be the dying leader.

I might be wrong because I'm not sure if those are the exact words, but didn't the scriptures say that the dying leader would never see Earth? Kara has seen Earth. So how could she be the dying leader?

2. 'I pulled the trigger and I'd do it again' What the frak has changed about Laura Roslin? In the past she has shunned guns, couldn't even hold one, but now she talks as if she's an old hand at using them.Yeah, I wrote something in the AR community about that because I didn't really understand how she went from not wanting to pick up a gun to kill a Cylon to save her own ass to shooting at Kara ( ... )

I've made a lot of my summary of this one already, but just nipping in here to say yes, I was also pretty damn pissed that they cut that Lee/Laura handshake. *growls*

Good entry!

I never believed the botox thing either, it's based mostly on the Youtube preview of dying a 'quiet little death' and some random vague shots. She still seemed fine to me, and with some light and some acting, yes, even lips look different. But no, I don't think it's botox, plus that even if it did look like botox, I'm quite sure Mary would never do that.
