I'm glad I made it so far. As competent as one may be, there is always someone a little better.

Lately I've become homesick. Did I take up this job to comfort myself over the loss of my own job back home? Hm, it's very similar to one of my side-jobs as well, but that has been so slow that I hardly ever pay attention to it.

A good amount of the unrest in this city seems to be caused by the boundaries put up. Once the curfew fell, everyone has become calmer and not so high-strung. The few rules still in order are, from what I see, easy to work with as nothing bad has happened to anyone so far.

Well, don't I feel at home? I find it disturbing that the body was just left there. This is a display that should never be viewed by human eyes. I feel a little sorry for those with weaker wills. Hm...

Seven days is more than enough to learn these rules. I've written down each and every one as many times as needed to memorize them. By the sixth night I'll be able to say each and every one word for word without failure.

This almost confuses me. We act as calmly as we can manage and avoid causing too much trouble and this is what we earn. It lacks proper sense...

...But it could have been justified just as easily as it could have been just for fun. Even so, I cannot help but question it.

This is worse than Botan's demonic whistle. This pain is so incredible...one would think that it would only affect me at half its power. It's kin to Karasu's bombs but all throughout my body. It's everywhere.
