[Transmission #18 (Nightmare)]

[ It must be half past midnight, when the sphere clicks on, broadcasting to the network. A small form under the covers sits up with a cry, woken jarringly from a nightmare to scramble out of bed - falling flat on his face before rolling over and rubbing at his nose. ]

[Perhaps it was mostly the way Sasuke called out his name that made him bolt up right. It was a different voice... scared...childish. Despite their 'not talking to each other' silent agreement, he couldn't help but feel compelled to see what was the matter.]

Sasuke....?

[ by now Sasuke has run out of his room and is wandering around in an oversized t-shirt. his head jerks up and he looks at the sphere, and his face just... blooms, in a way. he's instantly relieved. ]

Itachi! I knew you were here! Where are you? These kidnappers kept talking about being in space and this nasty liar said everyone was dead [ a brief flash of intense confusion and sadness at this statement ] and --

[ he stops himself. Sasuke swallows and looks back at the sphere. ]

Where are you?

[Itachi's eyes are wide, his jaw slightly dropped. It was Sasuke but... then it wasn't. He had somehow transformed into a child! It was probably another trick from the damn ship. Immediately, he's on his feet and out the door.]

Sasuke-kun, wait for me there. Do not move.

[He stops abruptly somewhere before turning a corner and walking once more, his eyes on the sphere at all times.]

I will be with you shortly. Ignore what the others say...

[ Sasuke halts, looking both ways up and down the hall to make sure he's not stopping somewhere dangerous. He sees nothing in either direction; he's likely fine. He'll happily comply with Itachi's wishes. ]

Okay.

[ Sasuke stays as still as he can manage. Some of everything was starting to sink in. He was kidnapped. He was on a ship. The ship was in... space. And Itachi was here. The last made everything better. ]

[ He frowns. ]

Kaname? I don't know a Kaname. You're not like Asher, are you?

[ in the fact that Asher, also, said he knew Sasuke, but then said he knew Sasuke from a different time - which the kid took to mean his infancy. ]
