Personally, I would either find out, or tell him to take care of his own damn business.

I mean, ya it sucks to watch a friend go thru BS, but, if theres nothing you can do, and he doesnt want you to help, what can you do?

Personally, I agree with the confrontation tactic, if he gets scared away from that, screw 'em
