I don't think I'll be there this year as I'll be in the middle of a 72-hour hobby event, but I do know that there are lots of people who are going to be there.

I really have no idea what I'm doing. I have the program buuuuut I'm getting the impression that isn't really what Marcon is about. And, I've heard what Marcon is actually about (room parties, getting your "fresh panties" not quite so fresh), and I'm ok with that buuuuut, I'm not sure that's what I feel like doing.

I have no idea what I feel like doing, so, I figured I'd go. If it's all about playing on the swings, well, my bad. ;)

You're right about the subtext being really where the definition of the event is concerned. The con itself is fun and all, but it's fairly expensive for the events themselves. Most would argue that the "unofficial" events are really what makes it, and if you're not really in the mood to party it up you might not get very much out of it. However, as I've pointed out to others, attractive women tend to be treated very well there, so you will assuredly do just fine and likely will get any kind of party access for which you're looking. :)

Have a good time and be safe and all that stuff. Feel free to drop me a line while you're there and if I have free time then I'll try to swing out, but I make no guarantees. As a matter of fact, you don't just have to limit ringing me to being at MarCon. :) It's been a damned long time since we chatted.

Thanks much for the offer, but I think I'll float between the class/seminar things. I've picked out events 11 - 7 I think, if they aren't what I expect, pfft, I'll go over to the Asian festival. No harm, no foul and I can say I went to Marcon.

I can't see myself going to the parties at night. I'm flattered by the compliment, but, truth be told I really think I got off that ship at the "Over 35" port a few years ago. ;) I don't plan on looking the least bit remarkable, and, I'm ok with that.

Imma be there when most of the dark horses will still be snug in what-ever stable they managed to reach. I anticipate that Friday's run will be a very hard one. The grooms will have their work cut out for them, massaging the winded warriors so they can run again on Saturday night. ;)

I miss alternate realities, I reallyreally do. I'm looking forward to just being around it again, even if just as an observer.

You've come into my mind recently, but I wasn't going to say anything because it's pretty embarrassing, for all involved. It's a longish' story I'd be delighted to tell you should our paths cross, but the punchline is thus:

I've just finished reading a popular vampire romance book (let me explain, PLEASE!) where the lead character is "Wrath". Every single time I read that, in my head I read, "WraIth".Every.Single.TIME.
