[Personality]
Remember that girl that always got bullied in high school? Jennifer is that girl all grown up, self-esteem issues and all.

Extremely timid and shy, Jennifer is the type of girl bullying types are quite simply drawn to. She almost seems to exude this aura of frailty and submissiveness and it's easy to see she is the type that very rarely stands up for herself. Being the only survivor of two horrible tragedies has given her a great bout of survivor's guilt; when we see her, she's nothing but a complete and total doormat. Come endgame, she's beginning to overcome her crippling self-confidence, but at her core she remains a very soft-spoken and shy individual who would rather avoid any confrontation even if she is being treated unfairly. It's this sort of low self-esteem that makes it hard for her to make friends, but she places great importance on the friends she does have, and cherishes them more than anything.

Jennifer is a pacifist, which can make her seem very wishy-washy and weak-willed at first glance. She is certainly more prone to apologize than attempt to stand up for herself. It was her inability to stand up for herself or for the sake of her friends that encouraged Wendy to kill her dog, which led to Jennifer cutting off ties with Wendy and Wendy causing the orphanage massacre in a fit of anger and heartbreak. Even if a person insults her to her face and she knows full well that what they are saying is not true, Jennifer will very rarely attempt to correct them. Instead, she stands there and allows those people to berate her for as long as they pleased. By the end of the game, she begins showing some semblance of a spine, but these steps are small; it's going to take more than a revalation to consistently put it into play.

However, there is nothing mean or small-spirited about Jennifer. Despite all the abuse she is shown, Jennifer remains a very kind and understanding person who rarely thinks badly of others. She very rarely gets angry with people, but if she does, it is never because of a slight against herself- the only time she has shown anger was because something terrible had happened to one of her friends. Not once in the game does she ever show a real resentment toward the children or adults that had mistreated her. In the January chapter, Jennifer even goes so far as to pity them. Even Wendy, the girl who initiated her terrible time at the orphanage and went so far as to murder her only source of comfort, only received sympathy from Jennifer (…Wendy…you were always so lonely. Poor, lonely Wendy…I wonder if my letters ever reached her…). Following this, Jennifer also seems to be an extremely empathetic person. She holds no grudges against those people- only a gentle, soft-spoken sympathy. If you examine the girls' possessions in the January chapter, Jennifer is able to comment on the emotional turmoil by which they had been trapped. She's even able to feel this sort of sympathy for Gregory, man who had kept her captive in his basement against her will. She is initially reluctant to leave him alone because he seemed "so lonely, so sad".

All in all, Jennifer is a very timid, very shy, but ultimately extremely kind young woman who will always care more of the welfare of others than she does about herself.

[Specialties/Abilities] N/A. Jennifer is just a very normal, 19-year-old girl from 1930s England.

[Affection] Jennifer is a bit reluctant of human contact, because she's been mistreated by people so much. Affection of all type is allowed, but Jennifer won't particularly enjoy it and may pull back a little at it unless she is very close to the character. Anything more extreme than hugging might make her freak out a little. And unless Jennifer is very close to your character, she probably won't even think about hugging them sooooooo...yes.

[Fighting] Your characters can totally fight Jennifer. However, let it be known that it will be less of a fight and more your character beating her up and Jennifer desperately tries to get away.

[Other Permissions] Mind-reading allowed, and fourth-walling is allowed. Because I find it amusing.
