old is better. it's a fact as the vandals say the 80s man, it's all about the 80s.
and i'm sorry but i don't believe that you were that dedicated to folk country and blues back in the day. i can't. if you're doing what you love then kudos to you but it bums me out that you don't listen to/play that old music anymore. it's like you just dropped it all and went in a completely different dirrection (which happened to become popular all of a sudden). you know what i think i don't need to say it again. but if you ever are interested in starting a punk band again i would love to do it (yow!) with you. good luck friend.
1) I never said I was "dedicated to folk country and blues back in the day" I just stated that I always had a fondness for said genres. 2)What became popular? Folk music? FOLK MUSIC?!? POPULAR?!?! Those two words have never appeared in any sentence uttered by anyone who knows anything about popular music in the known universe for all of history. Folk music has NEVER been popular (other than Bob Dylan or maybe Jesus, Mary and Joseph). 3) I hate assumptions - "you don't listen to/play that old music anymore". What!?!? I always listen to and play the "old music". Don't assume just because I don't go "AAAH! HAVE YOU HEARD THE MINUTEMAN'S LOST B-SIDE!" doesn't mean I don't listen to punk rock anymore. I always listen to punk rock.
if folk isn't popular why did connor oberst's new bright eyes records suddenly become all popular, why does every emo/screamo kid know who bright eyes is
( ... )
...i dont think that I ever told you that you should be doing old stuff...did I?
you should always be happy with the music that you are making, and you are...so no one's opinion should matter but your own. you know? <3 I always love watching you play ray. <3
ray your dumb you have to play hardcore death metal with me if you dont i will cut your throat and drink your blood! METAL FOR LIFE!!!
but on a serious note i would like to exchange thoughts and comments about music/anything relative to music in person any time soon or anytime soon or hell, maybe anytime soon.
