I was just thinking earlier about how I'd like to go for a bike ride. Too bad I ran over my own bike. Damn the crammed garage lol

I hope Josey's all right. ::hugs to you two:: take care :x

1. are they hiring at the tofu factory? im need a job bad.
2. im seriously considering going vegetarian. any tips/good recipes? i sent out for a vegetarian starter pamplet from peta, but it was mostly pep talks/reasons for becoming vegetarian, and not recipes. and they were pushing veganism, which im not into because i could never give up cheese.

any help would be appreciated.

Any good bunny lover can be a vegetarian! Peta is a good place to start and the vegan sites have good recipies as well so don't skip them just cause they are vegan. I have a few good cook books that I could tell you about, and recipies I can't live without that I could copy for you. I will forward a email version of some holiday recipies I got. I'm more than happy to help you make the transition and offer advice on things like what exactly is mono and diglycerides and how the hell do you make tofu taste edible. (it really is possible you just need to know how to operate it ;) I don't know if we are hiring, but we are getting ready to start a contract that just might require help. But sunrise garden center is starting to hire for planting perrenials which is easy and climate controled. And I saw a sign at la tasca for all sorts of help needed. give me a call if you want to get together and talk veggie.

you're totally right, i shouldn't just overlook the peta recipes..hell if i want to have real cheese on my food i can put real cheese on my food. i just don't want to eat meat anymore...the only reason i've been eating meat for these last 6+ months is that i am poor and meat meals were easy and cheap. but im just coming to realize all it takes is a little bit more creativity...and meat becomes completely unnecessary. recipies would be great! i am trying to find lj communities right now.

as for a job, im *hoping* to get hired on by the IRS. yeah its seasonal, but its 12 bucks an hour to do data entry, i was being paid 8.88 to do data entry at ncs before they fired me (unjustifyably i might add) my bills are soooooo high. i need to make 1,000 a month just to cover bills.

ps.

it took me 6 years of being a vegetarian before I had the gumption to give up cheez. Take it one step at a time and do what seems right to you, not to peta.
