Things that I have done:
- Doctor Who half-marathon at purplesilhouete's house, which was fun! I noticed many more things about the episodes, and it was especially interesting seeingRiver's story arc again. I paid more attention to her interaction with Amy, for one thing. I'm still a bit confused about the resolution of season 6 and the whole 'the Doctor dies/ the revelation of River's crime/ etc' arc- but tracking back to the origins of these stories with the "silence will fall" hints really didn't help. I still hang on to the theory that the good man River kills is going to be Rory, which is probably ridiculous since the show has definitely shown that River kills the Doctor. Except not really, so I'm pretty annoyed by that. Christmas special this Boxing Day though. Yay! :D
- Watched the two new scenes from Sherlock season 2. Looking good! Although I wonder if there's a saturation point for gratuitous fanservice and whether or not the shows going to reach that point. Sherlock in a bath robe, really? Talking to John with his webcam? Not that I mind, particularly...
- Spent a long while avoiding reading this interview because the potential for the motts was overwhelming, but it wasn't so bad. Johnny Galecki being interviewed by Gerard Way. Yeah, it didn't make sense to me either. Came across as a bit stilted but I'm pretty sure that's just the transcription.
- Watched Never Let Me Go, which was fascinating and I really liked. Carey Mulligan is my favourite, always. Started watching Shutter Island this evening but had to walk away about half an hour in cause it was freaking me out too much. I came back for bits and pieces but I couldn't really take it. It's always been the creepy hospital beds/ prisons that I can't handle, omg. After I left my sister soon changed the movie to Leap Year, which I tried to watch but also walked out on... but this time cause it was such rubbish. There are reasons why it was so bad but I can't be bothered to write them out, that's how not-worth-it this movie is. Never Let Me Go however, is definitely a movie I plan on watching again, and maybe showing my mum.
- Did many hours of Christmas shopping over the past few days. Shopping is stressful and tiring, but most presents have been acquired so I count it as a win.
- Listened to Alex Day's new song Forever Yours on repeat. He's trying to get it to number 1 on the UK radio charts or something like that, which I doubt will happen but I wish him luck for anyway. I haven't bought the single so I guess I can't say much, whoops. The song's catchy as hell in any case.
Also, what's up with these new LJ edits? I do not understand what is going on.
