Found this picture in my wanderings. That huge 1GB hard drive is only 20 years old. Even this is a bit out of date as that little card can now hold 32GB
I find myself still pining for things like the Libretto and even the Psion or Handspring...all old tech and not even as old as that, but so very different than what we have now.
And here I was thinking that was a great case mod :)
Libretto huh? I have two somewhere around here. As well as an old Newton 120 and a few other older tech pieces. There's just something fun about old tech.
Two Librettos? Nice :) I loved having Linux on those...doubled the battery life on them, easily. And a Newton?
There *is* something about old tech. It's why I had a dot matrix printer and a WYSE terminal hooked up to my rack-mountable OS X server at home when I lived in NYC...it was just *fun*. (And, well, the dot matrix printer alerted me to any unauthorized SSH attempts with a loud sound when printing logs to paper...hack me all you want, you can't hack physical copy!)
