I need an external hard drive. I have a MacBook Pro. I already have one that serves for a Time Machine. I need one for archival purposes--photos and such. Recommendations?

Lately I endorse the Western Digital Passport series of external HDDs. They're small, bus powered, and in terms of portable HDDs, reliable. They're also relatively cheap. I want to say you can get a 1tb drive for under $100 these days.

Cool. I've gotten that rec before, but the Amazon reviews of the latest model are less than favorable. But they may be whiners. You I trust.
