I’ve got exams tomorrow at an unholy hour of the morning. Drop me something to look forward to in my inbox? ; )

If you make up titles for stories I didn't write, I will respond with details of those non-written stories. Just think of the possibilities!

That sounds like a mystery story with a gothic mansion involved. So I would SEND JILL AND EUSTACE THERE. :D And there would be things like mysterious caretakers and glass-eyed housekeepers with secrets and an old, old town buzzing with stories about the family that used to live there. And there would be ~haunted happenings but Jill and Eustace would reassure each other with, “whatever, WE’VE ESCAPED DARKLY MAGICAL MIND CONTROL AND UNDERGROUND REALMS, NOTHING SCARES US ANYMORE. Okay, almost nothing, omgitheressomethinginmybedroomwalls, sleep in my room tonight.”

And Eustace still finds time to be geeking over things like architecture and the dusty library, and Jill would poke around in old bedrooms and find secret diaries and even more secret passages.

And it would end with a mystery solved, of course ! And, ah, I think I read way too many Bobbsey Twins as a kid. Just so you know. ;D

Ooooooh I waaaaant. That sounds so perfect! And I know what you mean about the mystery thing - I devoured Nancy Drew books when I was younger. Ohman. And of course Jill and Eustace would act ~just like that~ with the poking around and solving mysteries and not being scared of anything except when it means they have to share a room. (Which would be full of Narnia reminiscing, I'm sure!)

I waaaaant!

(Also, I think I'm going to have to put this meme on my LJ now because this is So. Much. Fun.

I'm starting to think that devouring mysteries is one of the childhood rituals of readers-- my RL friends all went through that phase too!

I knooow; I always, always thought if they'd lived in a post Last Battle world, they'd still have had these sorts of adventures all. over. the. place.

Edmund Pevensie and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

HEHEHEH so I read that title and I thought “oh no, he turned into a character from A Song of Ice and Fire!”.

But: Edmund in that world, that’s an idea! Maybe an Edmund/Sansa Stark fic where they have a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day together - also known as a typical day in Westeros- and they bond over holding on to their dream worlds and struggling to come out stronger when it all falls apart.
