“When you said you booked us a little place on the beach, I didn't think you meant...” Jared indicates their surroundings with a broad sweep of his hand, eyes still a little wide at just how amazing everything is.

Jared tries to finish his sentence, but a brightly-colored fish swims under his feet and he turns into a five year old, immediately dropping his bags and getting onto his stomach to watch it swim around under the glass he's laying on.

“I thought you meant a place in Van City, or like Cali or somewhere.” He mumbled, words muffled by his forearms as he stares intently at a puffer fish who seems intent on staring right back.

“Been there, done that. BORING.” Jensen calls out as he sets about unpacking. They're staying in a week and he wants the place to feel just a touch more homey. Not that the place isn't perfect the way it is...

“Have I told you lately that I love you?” Jared sings as he gets up, having won the staring contest with the fish, who just puffed itself up and floated away, clearly pissed that it had been bested by a human.

“No, but if you sing that song one more time, I'm feeding you to the sharks.” Jensen smirks, not surprised in the slightest when Jared picks him up and kisses him deeply before setting him down on the bed.

“I love you, I love you, I love you. Thank you for giving me a valid excuse to miss a visit with Aunt Bernice. I almost got an ulcer last time I visited 'cause of her cooking.” He grins as his hands slip through Jensen's short hair, Jared's mouth mere inches from the soft skin of his throat.

“That bad, huh? Well, I'm glad to be your knight in shining armor.” He answers, his own hands flitting around the hem of Jared's boardshorts soaking in how soft the skin is at the small of his back.

Jared kisses him again and the only thing Jensen can hear is his heart rushing like a crashing wave. He melts into the bed with a soft moan, Jared's mouth so sweet and soft that it makes him feel delirious. They only pull away when they need air, and when Jensen looks up at his new boyfriend, he can't help but chuckle.

“Are you sure you're from earth? Because every time you kiss me, I feel like I'm dropping out of the sky with no parachute.” His cheeks are warm and his eyes so full of love that it's impossible for Jared to take offense to his words.

“Say the guy who books first-time-couple vacations to freakin' Bora Bora. Talk about setting the bar.” Jared chuckles, his own face making it clear that he's not complaining in the slightest.

“I like to wine and dine 'em a little bit before they realize how boring I really am and bolt.” Jensen answers matter-of-factly, both of them silent for a second before they're sharing in a laugh, each hugging the other tightly.

“Too bad this boyfriend already knows you're boring and loves you anyways.” Jared whispers as they roll so they're side-to-side, face-to-face, with nothing but cerulean waters and azure skies surrounding them. Jensen's face warms again and he presses a kiss to Jared's lips so full of love and devotion, it's a wonder Jared's own head doesn't spin right off.

“So what's the plan, Don Juan?” Jared asks breathlessly once they pull apart, his eyes only half-open against the bright sunlight that infiltrates every last corner of their little hut.

“Swim, surf, snorkel, and spend lots and lots of time in bed.” Jensen affirms with a sage nod, Jared matching his expression and nodding as though it's all very serious business.

Their first full day in Bora Bora is spent, not surprisingly, at the beach. The drinks are free and Jared elects to try at least a half a cup of each, much to Jensen's amusement.

“If you drown because you're too drunk to even swim doggy style, I'm never going to forgive you.” He states plainly as he sits up in the white-padded lounge chair, a waiter setting down a precariously-balanced tray of lunch for them.

“You'd save me before that happened.” Jared replies, clapping the sand off his hands and shins before mirroring Jensen's position.

“I would.” Jensen relinquishes as he reaches for his food, pushing Jared's plate a bit closer to him so he's more comfortable; the little wooden table was obviously not built for a guy his size.

“You love me.”

“I do.”

“If I don't shut up, you're going to throw your pickle at me.”

“I was going to do that any way. Freakin' pickles, man, always ruining good food.” He grins, his eyes hidden by his dark sunglasses as he assembles the rest of his burger and then takes a big bite.

“We can't go swimming for an hour after this, according to moms across America.” Jared informs with a grin, his own burger looking just as satisfying as Jensen's tastes.

“We could toss the ball around. Not like there's anyone out here but us. Private beaches, fuck the world.” Jensen replies, grabbing at some fries, his back getting just a touch red in the high-noon sun. Thankfully, Jared had sprayed some sunscreen on him before they went out, or Jensen knew for a fact he'd be as pink as the pig-on-a-spit they'd had the night before.

“This is seriously, the best vacation ever. Thank you.” Jared speaks again only after finishing his burger and downing half his coke, the fries going down a bit slower as he's not so starved anymore.

“Least I can do for the guy I love.” Jensen blushes, clearly humble in the wake of the perfect little getaway he put together.

“Least. Yeah. You know what I'm gonna have to do to top this? Buy you a Maserati, jerk.” Jensen throws his head back and laughs, trying to picture Jared even finding a Maserati dealership in Vancouver.

“You could always bug Eric to give me the Impala when we're done if we don't get another season...” Jensen offers, already head-over-heels for the classic car and willing to do pretty much anything to keep it when they finish filming the show.

“Good idea. Might make a nice birthday gift for when you hit that mid-life crisis, old man.” Jared shoots him a big grin and gets a pickle in the face for his troubles, the wet veggie hitting his cheek and then his leg and making him burst out laughing, which in turn causes Jensen to do the same, all of it very Looney Tunes in its hilarity.

“Better than what I got in mind for your bachelor party, youngin'.” Jensen utters without even thinking of what his words could allude to. He flushes and looks down, watching his feet get buried in the white sand that's so fine he knows he'll have to pretty much pressure-wash himself in the shower back at the hut to get it all off him.

“You plannin' on marrying me off?” Jared answers, unaffected by the words, even though he can see full well their effect on his boyfriend.

“Yes. To a big, fat, king who keeps a harem.” Jensen mumbles, still so worried about how his previous sentence would be taken that he doesn't see Jared leaning across the small table to kiss him.

“What if I wanted to marry you instead?” Jared whispers before pressing soft kisses to Jensen's cheek, trying to get his partner to look at him.

“I could...I could work with that.” Jensen finally stammers out, looking up at him to be sure that Jared isn't being sarcastic or playing some sort of cruel joke.

“Good, 'cause I have a real complex about being with guys who are bigger than me.” They both chuckle softly, Jensen nuzzling into Jared's touch against his cheek, both more than a little relieved that they were on the same road, relationship-wise.

“So this isn't a wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am sort of thing, huh?” Jensen whispers, unable to stop the smile from crossing his face.

“Our relationship? No. What I'm gonna do to you once we go back to the hut? Maybe, for the first round.” Jensen blushes and Jared just laughs, unable to feel any happier if he tried.
