My Own Talk Show

Today is the test day for my new talk show called "Its A Wacky World". Just a small 15 minute segment. Nothing really important. Tomorrow night is the debut show. I'm kinda anxious for it. And then hopefully in May we'll be on during regular weekend nights every weekend or something. Their scheduling system is hard to get a handle. But I think that

First off, I think it's great that you're doing this. I think you should stretch yourself and try the things that interest you.
That said:
The sound is very uneven. The opening music is deafening, but I had a hard time hearing you talk.
The opening music went on way too long. Probably shouldn't have an intro longer than 30 seconds at the outside. Hoppie recommends 15. It's nice to have a signature sound, but you can establish the mood very quickly.

It's hard to tell whether there's a lot of dead air, or I just can't hear you talk. 8-(

Thanks for the feedback. The debut show should be up now. I listened to the test show too - and noticed the same thing that you did. I hate to say this - but I need a new microphone for my computer. I think that will work wonders, with the un-evenness of the sound. I'm going to download the debut show to listen to that so I can get a good grasp on the issues and what-not.

I'm also going to test a theory that I have - so I can actually get the voter's choice for my entrance theme music. Hopefully the sound level on the song will be a lot lower than the original one. Although, I like my entrance theme music - I gotta give what the listners what they want. :)
