Second, naturally I hope we go all the way, but if we lose next week in the playoffs, I will just be happy we made the run. For the first time in recent memory, we have won the division and we are poised for many years of success. I think my favorite part about today's victory (besides Romo playing like he always does in Week 17) is that it was a true pro-style playcalling instead of the kind at the start of the season where RG3 has 10 runs and endures 10 hits. Playing like today ensures long-term success.
I am also glad we are playing a team next week that, much like the Ravens, are a shadow of themselves when they play on the road. HTTR!
DAMN RIGHT YOU DID. :-) Shows what we get for doubting you.
I want us to get past the Seahawks, partially because well hey, it means we go to the next round of the playoffs, and partially because it's personal. I went into the hospital a few days before the 2006 playoff game, and watched the game from a hospital bed, in pretty agonizing pain, having to wait to get the sodium naproxen out of my system before the neurosurgeon could repair my herniated disc. (Important side note to people who use Aleve as their painkiller of choice: naproxen needs a week to get out of your system, and they can't operate on you if there is any. Important safety tip, thanks Egon.) Watching the Redskins go down in flames did nothing good for my level of discomfort. I want this one BAD.
I vividly remember 2007 season playoffs Seahawks game. I remember calling a family member and telling them it was in the bag after we scored a 3rd quarter go-ahead TD then on the ensuing kickoff were able to kick the ball into an odd location and recovery it ourselves on something like their 30 yard line. As was typical for the time, a missed Suisham field goal and lack of playmakers on defense who can make a tackle resulted in the Seahawks winning without breaking a sweat.
I thought of this game too when I saw the seeding, but both teams are completely different now. Russel Wilson is a QB-type not seen since Fran Tarkenton, but like I said, they play like crap on the road, so there is still a chance.
Really, though, totally agreed that I'm just proud of where we've come from and where we are now. I'll be real disappointed if we can't go all the way of course, but I'll still be so damn proud.

10-6 record. Seven-game win streak. NFC EAST FUCKING CHAMPIONS.
Maybe 2012 wasn't so bad after all.
HTTR!
