Or maybe it's that I love football so much it hurts. And I mean really hurts. Because it's so familiar. It's the "same old Redskins" and I thought last year was an indication that we were moving away from it. Did I expect to be a top ranked team, or to go to the superbowl, or even really have expectations for a playoff spot? No (Well, okay, maybe I foolishly did have expectations on that last one - I had myself convinced we were going to reign the NFC east. A little fan hope?) But otherwise, no. I thought I had a pretty realistic outlook on the team, and thought we were on an upward trend but not there yet. Even the preseason made me think, "it's gonna be a good year!"
And with the exception of last year (Though! We must remember we started 3-6 last year too and the beginning of the season was disappointing, though we didn't look quite as shitty losing those games.) I have that familiar sinking feeling of, man, we look busted. Because we look busted. I have many opinions about RG3, our offense, our defense, our ( ... )
