seeing vagina monologues today was so great. it made me really proud and excited to be who i am, and also to take my first steps in joining a sisterhood full of such confident, funny, and supportive women. and when i think about how it all could have turned out so far, i am really okay with the way that it did. maybe more than okay ( Read more... )

How very ironic; a UVa theatrical group recently put on the Vagina Monologues too. While I didn't get the chance to see it, but there was an excessive number of posters on my walk to my politics class.

Anyway, that's not the point. I came to say that it's journal entries like these that make me think. I'm almost embarassed by my own entries, which are basically random thought-paragraphs with no correlation. Yet here you are, putting forth text that analyzes your entire existence and how you can take control of it. But be careful with your decisions. We both know that skim milk is far superior to 2%, and healthier. And I should hope you don't change too much academically. I told you that I'd keep you to your plan to be a doctor, and I'm going to hold you to that. Aside from those two points, do as you please.

That's about all I have to say at the moment; I should probably get back to my philosophy essay. Good luck with all your homework and whatnot. And you don't need a better mug for life. You are the mug.

i just was heavily involved in geneseo's VM as a member of Womyn's action coalition & official prop-painter and t-shirt designer - t shirts whose front said "I <3 Vagina" (I heart NY t shirt style) and the back said "...monologues". my roommate dana lepage (remember her?) was the stage manager. i try out every year and never make it, haha. it's my favorite thing. what was your favorite monologue? that show makes me cry. so hard. our show this year was like a musical theater version, with singing, props, and choreography, a really different, dramatic take but very effective. i love vaginas!! check out:
