Found out today that the new house has been signed off as meeting building regs etc - things can finally get moving. So today I am very happy, tomorrow I will probably start shitting myself over how much I need to get done in a short space of time, but that is tomorrow. -
Rose tinted spectacles
I'm sat here with my in-laws' dog as I'm looking after her tonight because my father-in-law is ill. Oh crappy day....
Found out a couple of days ago that the person we are buying the house off has been a little economical with the truth about how complete his paperwork is. So we are still in limbo and the time available to organise the logistics of moving is rapidly diminishing and all I can do is twiddle my thumbs and wait. Not a rant
I'm glad I didn't post yesterday - it would have been one long rant about my solicitor not returning my call, Freecyclers who don't keep to arrangements (it's free stuff guys, show some manners), the cold and my dentist thinking I don't need to close my mouth for hours ( Read more... ) -
Waiting
Well I'm still waiting, apparently the local council need to sign off on building regulations before we can exchange contracts on the house we want to buy. So today I threw all that frustration into clearing out some of the crap I should have cleared out years ago and I feel much better for it. Now I just have to deal with the bags of said crap ( Read more... ) -

I finished Atonement today so am happy, there's the enjoyment of completing one book plus the anticipation of the next. I recently bought David Webster's, Donald Malarkey's and Bill and Babe's books (bit of a theme going there) and am trying not to read them all in one long indulgent reading binge. I've put off posting for ages, intimidated by the quality of the journals I've lurked around, but it seems unfair of me to not post anything in return, so here I am.
